The Development, Relief and Education for Alien Minors Act (The DREAM Act) was introduced in The United States Senate in early 2009. The Dream Act allows alien, minority students who have graduated from a United States high-school, are of good moral character, and have lived in the United States for a period of five years prior to the Bill being passed, the opportunity to obtain a six-year permanent residency in the United States of America.
